Frequently asked questions
Everything families usually ask us — and if we missed something, ask below.
How does this process work?
You've looked at the photos, watched the videos twice, and got your significant other on board (probably the hardest part). Here's how it goes:
- Reach out. Use a puppy's button, the contact form, or text/call. Tell us which puppy caught your eye and a little about your home.
- We get to know each other. We answer your questions and probably ask one or two.
- Reserve your puppy. Once you're sure, a $500 deposit reserves that specific puppy.
- We send everything. Contract, health guarantee, our favorite products, and photos and videos until go-home.
- Come-home day. Meet part way, Nashville airport, or hand delivery — puppy kisses all over your face.
- Keep us updated! We love the pictures.
How much do puppies cost, and how do deposits work?
Prices are published: standards $3,000, minis $3,500, and started puppies $4,800 when we have them. A $500 deposit reserves your specific puppy, and joining the waitlist is $250 — which applies toward the $500 when you pick your puppy. Everything applies to the price. Delivery is quoted separately by distance. Every puppy in a litter is priced the same.
What does F1b mean, and do they really not shed?
F1b means an F1 sheepadoodle mama (half sheepdog, half poodle) bred back to a poodle dad, so puppies are 75% poodle. That's the cross where "doesn't shed" becomes reliable, which is why allergy families end up here. You trade shedding for brushing and a groom every couple of months. More on F1b →
How are the puppies raised?
Carefully, and as a family. Mamas whelp in a quiet, temperature-controlled space in our attached garage — away from household zoomies but with us in and out all day. Our kids hold and play with the puppies from the first weeks. Around three weeks we introduce a potty area and sleeping area, then mushy food, then longer play sessions, grass and rock, bike rides, and early crate time. Puppies stay current on deworming and vaccinations and get a vet check at seven to eight weeks. The long version is here.
How do we get to know the puppies before we commit?
Photos and videos, mostly — and we take them seriously. We film each litter together and individually as they grow, so you can see who's bold, who's thoughtful, who charges the camera and who curls up in a lap. Families pick their own puppy, and most tell us they knew from the videos.
When do puppies go home, and what's included?
Eight weeks, never earlier (started puppies are older, obviously). Every puppy goes home with a vet check, current vaccinations and deworming, a health record, our written health guarantee, and a bag of the food they're eating. After your deposit we send our favorite product list so you're ready for day one.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes — hand delivery is kind of our thing. Meet part way (usually free), road trip ($250–$750 typical), or fly in-cabin with us (around $750). Puppies never fly cargo. Delivery details →
What's a started puppy?
An older puppy that's already potty trained, crate trained, walking nicely on a leash, and sits on command — with vaccinations finished. We offer them from time to time at $4,800; the waitlist hears first when one is available. How the program works →
Do you sell puppies with breeding rights?
Our puppies are placed as family pets, and prices reflect that. If you're interested in breeding rights, please tell us before placing a deposit — we handle it case by case.
