Our started puppy program

Started puppies: skip straight to the good part

A started puppy is a Sheepadoodle who has already learned the basics that make the first months with a new puppy hard — so you get to enjoy the fun part from the day they come home. None are available right now, but the waitlist hears first when that changes.

What "started" means here

Our started puppies have gone through extra training. They come home:

  • Potty trained
  • Crate trained
  • Walking nicely on a leash
  • Sit on command
  • Finished with their puppy vaccinations, so they can go on adventures with you from day one

They've had months of the same daily life our eight-week puppies get — kids, household noise, grass and gravel, car rides — plus the extra time it takes to build good habits. And because they're older, you can already see their adult coat and get a good sense of their size and personality.

Started puppies are a great fit for busy families, for anyone who'd rather not lose sleep over potty training, and for anyone who wants a Sheepadoodle who's ready to go places right away.

None available right now

We don't have any started puppies at the moment — the program runs only when we hold back a puppy or two from a litter, so availability comes and goes. The surest way to hear when one is ready is the waitlist: tell us you're interested in a started puppy and we'll reach out to you first.

Curious how we do it?

I wrote up exactly what we train and how in "Started puppy" — what exactly does that mean?
